HORT4337, is a dual purpose trial hop from NZ Hops. Over successive commercial brewing trials in styles such as Strong Pale Ales and India Pale Ales, HORT4337 has displayed high levels of tropical fruit characters of pineapple and passionfruit as well as stone fruit (peach) and citrus (grapefruit). The aroma is also described as being intense tropical fruit and citrus. Given that this hop provides big flavour and aroma characteristics, most brewing trials have focussed on the production of bigger styles such as IPA’s, NEIPA, and others where late hop additions, including cold side have displayed pronounced fruity hop characters to produce hop forward beers.
Alpha Rating: 9.5-11.5%
Note: HORT4337 was renamed to Nectaron® but this batch is required to be sold as HORT4337 while the supplier sorts out branded packaging. This batch was also packed by NZ Hops and therefore looks different to our normal hops packaging.
