KegLand Equipment FAQ
What makes KegLand a leader in homebrewing innovation?
KegLand is globally recognised for making professional-level brewing technology accessible to homebrewers. Based in Australia and serving the NZ market via Brewshop, they focus on integrated ecosystems—meaning their fermenters, brewing systems, and kegging gear are all designed to work seamlessly together using shared fittings and software.
What is the RAPT Cloud ecosystem by KegLand?
The RAPT ecosystem is KegLand's proprietary Wi-Fi-connected platform. It allows you to monitor and control your BrewZilla, your fermentation temperature (via RAPT Pill or Chamber), and even your keg levels from any web browser or mobile app. This level of automation ensures incredible consistency for every batch you brew.
How does a FermZilla differ from standard fermenters?
The FermZilla range (including the All-Rounder and Tri-Conical) is specifically engineered by KegLand for pressure fermentation. Unlike standard plastic buckets, these are pressure-rated vessels that allow you to carbonate your beer while it ferments, significantly reducing oxygen exposure and fermentation times.
Why should I switch to KegLand DuoTight fittings?
DuoTight is KegLand's high-performance push-fit system. Unlike traditional barbs and clamps, DuoTight fittings use double O-rings to create a superior, leak-proof seal with EVABarrier tubing. They are easy to install, require no tools, and are much more resistant to CO2 leaks in kegging setups.
What is unique about KegLand Series X Kegerators?
KegLand's Series X and Series X.4 Kegerators are designed specifically for the needs of homebrewers. They feature upgraded compressors, improved insulation, and a redesigned interior that can fit up to four 19L Corny kegs. They are the benchmark for reliable, high-capacity draught beer dispensing at home.
Does the BrewZilla Gen 4 support Wi-Fi monitoring?
Yes! The BrewZilla Gen 4 comes with a RAPT-enabled controller as standard. This allows you to log into the RAPT portal and monitor your mash and boil temperatures in real-time from your phone, and even receive notifications when it’s time to add hops or start your sparge.
Are KegLand kegs compatible with other ball lock systems?
Absolutely. While KegLand produces their own range of high-quality stainless steel and PET Oxebar kegs, they use the industry-standard Ball Lock connection. This means you can use KegLand kegs, disconnects, and regulators with almost any standard homebrewing setup found in New Zealand.
