This extra-light pale ale is clean, light and dry, with a subtle fruitiness and mild malt balance. Add a sachet of glucoamylase enzyme for a lower-carb, dry XPA. Can be brewed Low or Mid, from 2.6% to 4.8% ABV. 

Follow Brick Road and you will soon be brewing fresh beer that tastes better than commercial beer. This can contains the foundations of great beer for you to brew at home, simply and easily. You can also build your own unique recipes brick-by-brick. Brick Road searched the world to find the best maltster to create this exceptional hopped wort.

Only the finest grains are selected and malted. Malts are blended to suit the beer style, then mashed with hop extracts to create hopped wort. The fresh wort is gently reduced to 80 Brix before being canned fresh on-site to retain its original delicious malt flavours.

Additional fermentables required - recipe options:

Approx. % alcohol by volume (ABV) 19L 21L 23L
For an Extra Pale Ale add: 
1kg dextrose or brewing sugar or for a fuller-bodied 100% malt beer add 1kg Brick Road Extra Light Dry malt extract
4.8% 4.3% 4.0%
For a Mid or Low Alcohol version add: 
250g dextrose or brewing sugar or for a fuller-bodied 100% malt beer, add 250g Brick Road Extra Light Dry malt extract
3.1% 2.8% 2.6%
For a Lower Carb beer add:
A 3g sachet of glucoamylase enzyme (dry enzyme) with the yeast at the start of fermentation. This may reduce the carbohydrate content of the resulting beer* (ABV will increase slightly)
     

* This malt extract is NOT lower carb. Recipe suggestions only. The addition of glucoamylase enzyme as an additional ingredient is know to reduce carbohydrate content of beer when use correctly.

Dry hop additions suggestions
For added tropical or citrus flavour, add 30g of NZ hops like Riwaka, Nelson Sauvin, or Nectaron, or Australian hops like Pride of Ringwood, Galaxy or Eclipse.

Alternate yeast options
BRY-97, US-05, WLP001 California Ale, 1056 American Ale or other clean, highly attenuating American ale yeasts.
