The BrewZilla Micro 50L CIP Washing Cart is a portable washing cart that you can use for clean in place brewery hardware such as fermenters, brewhouse, unitanks, bright tanks and pretty much any CIP compatible gear.
The BrewZilla Micro 50L CIP (Clean in Place) cart is designed for cleaning and sterilisation of the FV and BBT but can be also uses for breweries and other hardware. The CIP unit has a simple design comprised of two tanks (caustic tank and sterilisation tank), one pump, one control cabinet and due to it's size and castor wheels is portable. A clean environment is the foundation of beer fermentation. So the usage of the CIP cart is very important part that a brewery needs to rely on day-in-day-out.
1. Preparatory work at least one hour ahead of time.
Separately fill 50l clean city water into the caustic tank and the sterilisation tank.
Then add 2.5kg food grade caustic soda or PBW into the caustic tank to make the concentration of caustic liquid up to 5ï¼…. And open the button of heating at the same time.
Then add make up a solution of hydrogen peroxide or phosphoric acid or peracetic acid liquid into other tank.
2. Water washing for 15 mins.
A small amount of water to rinse of the large chunks of yeast, hops etc off the tanks first. Keep the discharge port of fermenter/tank/brewery open so this waste water can drain out.
3. Caustic wash
Ensure the caustic/PBW tank is up to temperature. Use the prepared hot liquid to recycle in the CIP vessel that you are cleaning for 15~20 mins.
4. Water rinse
Rinse water through the system to clear out the caustic.
5. Sanitiser wash
Drain out the remaining water in the fermenter, then take the prepared sanitising solution and cycle in the system for 15~20 mins. After finish this step, please close all the valve of the fermenter.
Attention
A. Please check the electric power and confirm the correct rotation of the pump impeller before operating the CIP unit. (This is only the case for BrewZilla Micro 3 phase CIP washing carts)
B. Never run elements dry and make sure water level is always higher than heating element.
C. Do not use hydrocloric acid, chlorine in any form as this will damage the unit and/or tanks.

Single Phase - Three Phase Conversion
As standard this cart is manufactured with three phase wiring. At the time of ordering, if you specify that you want a single phase unit we will have this unit made as a single phase system for you. Alternatively if you want to convert from three phase wiring to single phase wiring you can do this yourself by re-wiring the heating elements and also installing a VFD drive so that the three phase pump can be used with a single phase power source.
