Blichmann False Bottom. The patent pending Blichmann 'button louver' false bottom is a hybrid of a perforated screen (high-efficiency) and a slotted manifold (plug resistance) that gives you the best of both.
These are heavy duty false bottoms, recommended for the mash tun only - when used in the boil kettle, the solid construction can disrupt the convection currents in the kettle, interfering with the boil and causing a risk of scorching. Blichmann recommends the Hopblocker for use in the boil kettle.
These False Bottoms are available in sizes to match the Blichmann BoilerMaker pots.
